Personal Radios
TWH-100 Series
The TWH-101R and TWH-104R Personal Radios, among the basic features of soldier radios, provide extended features to users such as full duplex audio conference with simultaneous data capability, embedded GPS/Glonass receiver, multiple PTT buttons for differentiated voice access, stereo operation (right and left separation), VOX, whisper mode, automatic network management for transparent and simple operation and a wide range of accessories such as portable and vehicular gateways, headsets, wireless PTT, battery packs and chargers (vehicular and solar).
Besides the functionality of a Personal Radio, the solution can also be seen as a wireless extension for an Intercom System or Radio equipment, enabling users to be connected to the vehicle and/or combat net radio and keeping the possibility to select communication to the crew members or to the radios inside the vehicle, in the same way as being wire connected.
TWH-110 Series
The TWH-110 Personal Radio is a lightweight transceiver operating on the 400MHz band offering a good balance between autonomy and RF output power. It provides a very low RF signature modulation scheme based on spread spectrum technology (DSSS) and TDMA technics, featuring a robust, reliable and low probability of detection waveform. Additionally it incorporates AES encryption for a very high security level of transmitted audio and data with user downloadable keys.
Aside from its core function as a personal radio, connecting EID’s TWH-110 series to an intercom system of an armoured vehicle enables the soldiers to dismount from the vehicle and move freely with full connectivity, being used as a wireless extension, enabling interconnectivity to long-range HF/VHF/UHF networks, via the vehicle’s or fast patrol boats mounted tactical radios. lt also enables the integration of several types of sensors, provides accurate geospatial location for monitoring of forces positioning based on radio integrated Blue Force Tracking (BFT) capability and other features when connected to a Battle Management System (BMS).
