The second edition of the event “Innovation and Technological Modernization in the Army”, organized by the Portuguese Army, through the Center for Experimentation and Technological Modernization, took place on the 22nd and 23rd of November at the Taguspark Congress Center, in Oeiras.

This event aims to boost the Army’s Research, Development and Innovation initiatives and projects and as expected, EID was present, this time as a visitor, in the person of Mário Guerra on the afternoon of the 22nd and Ricardo Nunes in the morning on the 23rd.

Our colleagues brought us a little of what was discussed there and we can, in fact, see that the dynamics of this Army initiative to collaborate with universities, companies and other institutions in the development of innovative solutions are quite interesting. The Portuguese Army also facilitates the entire process of validating these projects by providing its own resources, such as the Santa Margarida Technological Free Zone.

One of the highlights of this event took place on the 23rd, with the delivery of the “PRT Army Tested” and “Combat Proven” certificates by the Portuguese Army and idD Portugal Defense.
