EID participated in a military exercise that brought together Portugal and Spain from February 10 to 28 in Retamares, Madrid.
Aimed at strengthening interoperability between the two countries in the field of communications and information systems, the exercise gathered the three branches of the Portuguese Armed Forces (Navy, Army and Air Force) in a collaborative effort with the Spanish Armed Forces.
In practice, it involved the simulation of scenarios to test connectivity and interoperability, ensuring the secure sharing of information.
With around 100 participants, including military and civilian personnel, this was one of NATO’s key exercises, providing a realistic environment for experimentation, validation and capability consolidation.
Once again, this exercise demonstrated the joint commitment of Portugal and Spain to defence and cooperation.
