EID is taking part of the Army’s Innovation and Technological Modernization event which takes place on the 19th and 20th of November at the Taguspark Congress Centre in Oeiras.

This event, organized by CEMTEX – the Portuguese Army’s Centre for Experimentation and Modernization in partnership with Oeiras City Council, AED Cluster Portugal and idD Portugal Defence, aims to promote innovation and technological modernization, bringing together companies, universities, research centres and other current Army projects. The agenda includes several panels of discussion, a seminar and a permanent exhibition of technological solutions.

We were honored this morning to welcome the Chief of Staff of the Army (General CEME), the Vice-Chief of Staff of the Army (Vice CEME) and the Vice President of the Municipality of Oeiras, Francisco Rocha Gonçalves, to our booth. After hearing his words at the opening session of the event, that were very enthusiastic about the development and innovation of new projects in the future, coordinated with synergies that may arise in the defence market, General CEME came to the exhibition.

It was a privilege to briefly showcase our solutions and exchange insights with such distinguished visitors. General CEME is already very familiarised with our solutions as EID is a very “old” partner but it is always very nice to have a chat and discuss new ideas.

With free admission and open to the public, this event is a unique opportunity to demonstrate our contribution to the defence sector and to interact with the business community, academic people and the general public.

The room is full of companies in the Defence Industry capable of creating solutions and synergies that contribute to a society that is more coordinated with the Army and its ability to innovate in the future.
